Paramedic
General Practice Paramedics can manage minor illnesses and injuries by conducting health assessments and are able to also provide home visits to housebound patients. Some paramedics are also qualified prescribers so can also provide treatment for minor illnesses within the consultation.

Physician’s Assistant
Physician’s Assistants are healthcare professionals with a generalist healthcare education who work alongside doctors providing medical care as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. PAs in general practice are able to provide face to face consultations with patients and carry out physical examinations, help to care for patients with chronic long term conditions, develop and deliver appropriate treatment and management plans whilst being supervised and supported by a Doctor.
