Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Lion Health is currently looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Minor Illness and Acute Assessment. This is a full time position (37 hours per week) and the salary range is £45,801.37 – £54,907.62, dependant on experience.

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Lion Health will be an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for patients who require treatment of a minor illness/acute assessment, working alongside our GP team. The role will involve history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, investigations, prescribing, treatment, follow up management and evaluation of care. The post holder will work autonomously seeing patients with undifferentiated problems, setting and maintaining patient care standards and completing appropriate care planning. He/she will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including utilising their assessment and diagnostic skills for patients of the practice.

He/she will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The post holder will be a competent non-medical prescriber (V300) and act in this capacity during clinical contacts.

The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process.

This role may include care for other vulnerable patients as deemed appropriate by the partners/lead GP or the management team which may on occasion include, but is not limited to, covering home visits or assessment and treatment of patients in care/residential settings.

Management Support Officer (Finance/Students)

Lion Health is looking to appoint a Finance Administrator to work in the Management Support Team. He/she will also provide general administrative and organisational support to the Practice’s commitments to Students. The Management Support Officer (Finance/Students) will ensure that the Practice operates in a profitable and cost-effective manner in keeping with the financial aspirations of the Partners. They will be responsible for managing and reconciling the practice accounts, as well as PCN income & services.

The rate of pay for this position is between £9.50 and £11.33 per hour, depending on experience.

This is a permanent and part time position working 24 hours per week in a flexible working pattern. Home Visiting Nurse

Lion Health is looking for an experienced nurse to join our large clinical team and lead on home visits. You will have a minimum of two years core nursing experience (either in general practice or the community). You must be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical excellence and have experience dealing with Long Term Conditions and vulnerable/housebound patients.

The individual would be expected to provide home visiting support for a cohort of housebound patients with long term conditions, supporting their reviews and ongoing care. This forms the core of the work stream, but the individual should ideally have the flexibility to be able to work within the practice setting if required.

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week in a negotiable pattern. The rate of pay is between £15.12 and £20.87 per hour, depending on experience. Salaried GP

Lion Health is looking to expand its team of Salaried GPs.

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and hardworking salaried GPs to complement our large team of doctors. We welcome applications from GPs approaching qualification, those newly qualified and experienced GPs. Both positions are part-time (3 days a week) and include extended hours on a rota’d basis.

Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Officer) x 2

Lion Health currently has vacancies for 2 Receptionists, also known as Patient Services Officers. Patient Services Officers are the face of the dynamic and busy reception team at Lion Health and provide a pivotal link between patients and clinicians.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver a professional and caring service. They will exercise judgement to navigate patients to the appropriate healthcare professional in an efficient, courteous and empathetic manner. Previous customer service or medical reception experience is desirable but not essential.

The positions are permanent and part time (20-30 hours), with days of the week and working hours being flexible to balance the needs of the business with candidate availability. In addition to core hours, applicants will be able to cover for annual leave and sickness absence.

The rate of pay is from £9.50 per hour.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade 4 to 9 (including Maths and English)
